Diokeba ties on to the Company’s Kantela gold project which is in the same structural and stratigraphic position as the multi-million ounce Sadiola gold mine. There are a series of northeast-trending geochemical anomalies to be tested.
In 2002, the Diokeba gold project was acquired in western Mali by application under the Mining Act of Mali. Diokeba is 500 km northwest of the capital Bamako, 100 km south of Kayes and 25 km southeast of the 14 MM ounce Sadiola open-pit Gold Mine (Anglogold-Iamgold).
In 2004 the Company completed 2,652 m of drilling in the southern part of the property. Additional sampling and 2,500 m of drilling is planned in the northern part of the property where the Diokeba gold project ties on to NAC’s Kantela gold project which is in the same structural and stratigraphic position as the multi-million ounce Sadiola gold mine. There are a series of northeast-trending geochemical anomalies to be tested.
